Storage

Storing agricultural products is an important part of grain production. It matters to every farmer, and it is a complex and demanding task for us as a company too. Storage covers every stage of grain handling, starting with intake, where careful quality and quantity testing is essential. Once the produce has been taken in, the grain is cleaned of foreign matter, then dried and placed in storage.
To keep the quality of storage high, all of Meteor Commerce's storage capacity, more than 55,000 t, is made ready before intake begins. That of course means keeping the storage facilities and conveying lines as clean as they can be.
Disinfection and rodent control are a mandatory part of that process.

It is also crucial that Meteor Commerce constantly monitors and checks the stored grain, to preserve its quality, to build an optimal raw material supply for the processing industry and to deliver the economic result that matters in the end: the best possible price at the point of sale.

Growers who store their produce in Meteor Commerce's facilities can be confident that the goods will keep their quality and quantity until final delivery, because the grain is turned whenever needed, with extra cleaning and fumigation if required. Meteor Commerce is also part of the state commodity reserves system, which means we have met every condition to become an authorized storage operator taking in corn and wheat for the Republic Directorate for Commodity Reserves in the West Bačka District.
